Once a health clinic called Le Mon Repos opened at the beginning of the 20th century, this lovely place built on the hills of Mont Pèlerin overlooking Lake Geneva turned into a hotel since the early fifties remains one of the region’s most beautiful hotel and best known for its Spa with its Medical Centre. Famous names are attached to this historic place such as Maurice Ravel who stayed at the clinic in 1934. Many of the famous and the rich came to stay at this hotel, among those were the Emperor and Empress of Japan who came in 1971. The location itself is beautiful, right on the hills of Mont Pèlerin between Lausanne and Montreux, next to the chapel of St Joseph above the charming town of Vevey overlooking the vineyards and the Lake Geneva. An unforgettable stay at this marvelous place crowned with stunning views and genuine hospitality and above all is the SPA – certainly not to be missed. After meandering around the lovely countryside of Mont St Pèlerin I finally arrived at the gates of Le Mirador Resort & SPA – the modern style lobby gives to a breathtaking landscape of the lake and snow capped mountains. The weather is lovely with an amazing blue sky and just can’t wait to try out their gastronomic delight especially orchestrated by Frédéric Boucault the smiling Chef ….
