An Indian Summer in Paris …

Summer is over and autumn has returned but the joy of the still having the nice sunny weather in Paris seem to persist. For the past few days I have been strolling along the beautiful banks of the Seine river and especially enjoyed the wonderful promenade of the recently opened Berges de Seine. Once the Voie Expresse Rive Gauche, today is a car free promenade offering Parisians a world of greenery, leisure spaces, soundscapes and entertainment – haven for cyclists, skaters, with special fun space for kids and outdoor sports. More than 2km of the new left bank promenade stretches from the Quai Branly Pont de l’Alma to the Musée d’Orsay. The promenade then continues all the way to the Pont Sully … a great day outing for city hikers. The unique floating gardens situated between the Pont d’Alma and the Pont Alexandre III are not to be missed ….

And after a nice long day of walking along the river banks, time to unwind and enjoy a magical twilight along the Quai de Montebello overlooking Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cité and let the beauty of the City of Light unfurls …
