The Lantern stylish rooftop bar of the boutique hotel The Fullerton Bay with its spectacular views of the Marina is certainly one of the must see when in Singapore. The unique waterfront architecture of the Fullerton Bay Hotel is just located next to the historic Clifford Pier – the landing point for mostly Chinese ethnic immigrants to Singapore in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The name itself is derived from the Chinese description of Clifford Pier also known as “The Red Lantern Pier”. Designed by Hong Kong based designer Andre Fu, The Lantern is a combination of an outdoor bar and a pool set in a tropical scenery surrounded by large bronze candle lit lanterns. White canvas awning covers the main sitting area of the bar, with day beds alongside the pool. The large unique polished overlapping bronze circular bar at the centre is made in the shape of a lantern.

The Fullerton Bay Hotel is also part of the Fullerton Heritage fine dining and hospitality which includes some of Singapore’s most important historic landmarks. A glimpse into the past is also at The Lantern where you can sit around the pool, spend your afternoon while enjoying some of its good selection of light food, tapas and especially their irresistible list of enticing cocktails. A perfect getaway to get into the twilight mood while relaxing to the spectacular views of the Marina Bay waterfront.
