One of my favourite walks is through the magnificent gardens of Marqueyssac overlooking the beautiful hills and valleys of Dordogne. Listed as France “Jardins Remarquables” the garden created in 1861 by Julien de Cerval consists of spectacular evergreen boxwood hedges symmetrically arranged in circles and wave patterns. A must stopover when visiting the Périgord …
